The iconic Ford Mustang has been taken to another level thanks to some impressive additions to the 2015 Shelby GT350 Mustang model.
Taking advantage of technology once exclusive to higher end automakers, like Ferrari, the new Ford Mustang runs faster, smoother and has a sleeker look than any model in the past.
The new car was unveiled this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The 2015 Shelby GT350 Ford Mustang model has a 5.2-liter V-8 engine that yields more than 500 horsepower and upwards of 400 lb.-ft of torque.
The GT350 also implements flat-plane crankshaft technology — used in the Ferrari and other high-end models — to create the most powerful Ford engine ever.
The car’s six-speed manual transmission, in turn, transfers power to the wheels while Torsen limited-slip differential delivers optimal straight-line traction and cornering.
Thanks to materials like aluminum and carbon fiber, the new GT350 is a lighter weight car and is the first-ever Ford model to utilize magnetic ride suspension.
The new model was showered in praise by auto enthusiasts at its unveiling. Could this buy a game changer for the Ford automaker?
