#8 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe

Like the Corvette or the Mustang, most (if not all) Cadillac models are very recognizable. You see that grill and you know you’re looking at a Caddy.

But aside from that bit of conformity, Cadillac offers a wide range of cars for every type of driver. This one, which definitely has that famous front end, is a great entry-level car for people looking towards buying a luxury/sport vehicle.

The ATS Coupe doesn’t have the most powerful engine (doesn’t even come close to the Stingray), but this isn’t muscle, it’s comfort and style and decent fuel economy. As with BMW, Mercedes and Lexus models, Cadillac cars are known for cabin luxury.

The ATS Coupe features a whole slew of on-board entertainment, music and navigation features. It isn’t clear yet, but we’re betting the ATS Coupe will have that wonderful CUE information system on the 8-inch touchscreen that’s come with previous Caddy models.

By all accounts, the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe is going to be a nice step in the direction of bar-raising comfort and luxury.

In Brief:

  • MPG – Approx. 21 city / 31 highway
  • Seats – 5
  • Engine – 2-Liter, 4-Cylinder

#7 2015 GMC Canyon SLE

The Canyon is a brand-spanking-new pickup model from GMC and it’s one we’re very excited about. It’s difficult in the truck-manufacturing game to get a handle on that fine line between grunt power and fuel efficiency, but with a brand new engine, the Canyon looks to make that problem a thing of the past.

The SLE model 2015 Canyon is a pretty powerful pickup with a 4.3-liter, V6 engine. The precise stats on MPG are unknown at the moment, but we’re told to expect a great leap in fuel economy, which will obviously be much-appreciated by everyone who buys one.

Not having to sacrifice as much MPG for excellent power is a relief in this day and age and it’s obvious that GMC is addressing that with the Canyon.
